Lenne Brothers: A Lenne Brothers Band vgyunk Németországból. 1984 és 20016 között 2500 show-t adtunk szerete Európában "The Lennerockers" néven. Nevet váltottunk másfél éve, most Lenne Brothers Band-nek hívnak. Új tagokkal és néhány új dallal álltunk rá az elkövetkező évek felé vezető útra. Rengeteg mókában volt már részünk!
NRNR: Mi a zenekar különlegessége/specialitása?
LB: Egy nagyon nehéz zongorát használunk, de semmi sem hasonlítható hozzá!
NRNR: Hallottatok már a Lakeside Weekendről korábban?
LB: Néhány éve hallottunk a Lakeside-ról, amikor együtt játszottunk a Prison Band-del Dél-Németoszágban.
NRNR: Mire számítotok a fesztivállal kapcsolatban?
LB: Láttunk egy promóvideót a fesztiválról. Lenyűgöztek minket a nagyszerű kocsik, az atmoszféra, a tánc, a napsütés és maga a hely. Egy brilliáns hétvége lesz, és nagyon várjuk már, hogy kivegyük a részünk belőle!
NRNR: Ismeritek a Magyar Rockabilly és Rock'n'Roll kultúrát?
LB: Soha nem voltunk még Magyarországon, szóval új élmény lesz nekünk, hogy hogy ünneplitek a Rockabilly és Rock and Roll kultúrát ott.
NRNR: Mennyire intenzív a Rockabilly és Rock'n'Roll kultúra az országotokban?
LB: Van néhány remek fesztivél Németországban minden évben. December második hetében rendezünk egyet "Wild West Rockabilly Special" címmel a Pullman City Harz-ban. Az utóbbi 13 év alatt fellépett nálunk a Crazy Cavan, Matchbox, Jets, Restless, Linda Gail Lewis, Prison Band és sokan mások. Idén December 7.-én és 8.-án tarjuk, nézzétek meg magatoknak!
NRNR: Mit fogunk látni, amikor játszotpok a szinpadon?
LB: Zongorát, gitárt, nagybőgőt és dobokat. Régimódi Rock and Roll-t játszunk egy kis Country-val és Blues-zal megfűszerezve. Rengeteg saját számunk van, de kiválasztottunk párat a legjobbaktól, mint Johnny Cash, Crazy Cavan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Flying Saucers, Hank Williams és Freddie Fingers Lee.
NRNR: Milyen gyakran játszotok?
LB: Ötven koncertet adunk egy évben.
NRNR: A klubkoncereket vagy a fesztiválokat szeretitek jobban?
LB: A legjobb egy elegy a fesztiválok és klubkoncerteből.
NRNR: Meddig maradtok a fesztiválon?
LB: Szomorú, de csak szombaton maradhatunk! Pénteken a Pullman City Eging-ben jétszunk Bajorországban a Lakeside felé útközben, és vasárnap vár ránk egy 15 órás út haza.
NRNR: Van egy hagyomány a Lakesideon. Az együttesek beszállnak a sátrak közti jammelésbe a konceretk után. Csatlakoztok ti is ehhez?
LB: Menő hagyománynak hangzik. Meglátjuk, ha nem leszünk túl fáradtak, beszállhatunk. Várjuk már ezt a vad party-t! Ott találkozunk, és "keep rockin'"!
Napi Rock and Roll: Could you introduce yourself in few sentences for those who don’t know you yet ?
Lenne Brothers: We are the LenneBrothers Band from Germany. Between 1984 and 2016 we did more than 2500 shows all across Europe under the name of „The Lennerockers“. We changed our name one and a half years ago to „LenneBrothers Band“, with a new line-up and some new songs to put us on the right track fort he years to come. It`s loads of fun up to now !
NRNR: What is special in your band ?
LB: We use a real upright piano, very heavy, but there is nothing like the real thing !
NRNR: Have you heard about the Lakeside festival before ?
LB: We heard about the Lakeside festival some years ago, when we met the Prison Band on a gig in the south of Germany !
NRNR: What are your expectations about the festival ?
LB: We watched a little promotion video about the Lakeside festival. We`ve been impressed by all the great cars, the atmosphere , the dancing, the sunshine and the location. It will be a brilliant weekend and we are looking forward to be a part of it !
NRNR: Do you know the Hungarian Rockabilly and Rock´n`Roll culture ?
LB: We have never been to Hungary before, so it will be a new experience for us to see how you celebrate the Rockabilly and Rock`n`Roll culture in Hungary !
NRNR: How intensive is the Rockabilly and Rock`n`Roll culture in your country ?
LB: There are a few good festivals in Germany every year. On the second weekend of December we organize our own called the „Wild West Rockabilly Special“ located in Pullman City Harz. Over the last 13 years we had bands like Crazy Cavan, Matchbox, Jets, Restless, Linda Gail Lewis, Prison Band and many more. This years party is on the 07. and 08. of December 2018 ! Check it out !
NRNR: What will we see when you play on the stage ?
LB: You`ll see piano, guitar, slap-bass and drums. We are oldschool Rock`n`Roll with a little Country and Blues flavour. Lots of our own compositions and some carefully picked covers from for example Johnny Cash, Crazy Cavan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Flying Saucers, Hank Williams and Freddie Fingers Lee !
NRNR: How often do you play regularly ?
LB: We do about 50 gigs a year these days !
NRNR: Do you prefer clubs or festivals ?
LB: The best is a good mix of clubs and festivals !
NRNR: How long will you stay in this festival ?
LB: Sad, but we have only the Saturday ! On Friday we play Pullman City Eging in Bavaria on the way to the Lakeside festival and on Sunday we have a 15 hours ride back home !
NRNR: There is a tradition in the festival. The bands do a jam session among the tents after their show. Do you want to join in ?
LB: Sounds like a cool tradition. Let`s see what we can do, if we`re not too tired, we may join in. We`re looking forward to a wild party ! See you and keep rockin` !
